Albacete is a province of central Spain, in the southern part of the autonomous community of Castilla-La Mancha. It is bordered by the provinces of Valencia Alicante, Murcia, Granada, Jaén, Ciudad Real, and Cuenca.
The climate is continental and changes extremely from one area to the other. The winters are very cold (temperatures up to -25C have been recorded), and summers very hot. We can generally affirm that the climate is in prevalence dry, exept in the south area of the province that being mountainous has a greater rainfall.
Some interesting places to visit in the area include the Las Lagunas de Ruidera natural park and many monuments such as the San Juan Bautista Cathedral, the Iglesia de Asunción church and the Convento de Santa Clara. Albacete is not new to rural tourism, and has several country houses-turned-hotels where besides lodging, you'll find an endless list of cultural, amusing and sport activities.
